Nature verse Nurture This debate between Nature and nurture has been going on for a long time and debated backed and forth between numerous theorist. People like Darwin, Lorenz, and Bowlby argue nature is the answer saying that genetics and hereditary factors that influence who we are, from our physical appearance to our personality characteristics. Bowlby explains in Chapter 3 the attachment behaviors were seen in infant chimpanzees, that at the young age when away from their mother they would “cry out, and cling to maintain proximity to a parent”(48) this can also be seen with human babies. These theorist talk about how starting at birth we show physicals signs to help us survive in the world.
