Psychology is basically the study of the mind, and has many topics that can have people debating. Nature vs. Nurture is a classical debate that has been going on for some time. Many scientist say that nature is the reason for ones behaviors, but other scientist argue that nurture or life experiences shape a person. Both sides have some pretty reliable information, but neither side has a prime factor to be the reason. Nature is our genetic inheritance, and scientist have proven that genes do get passed on. The son of a serial killer won’t necessarily become a killer himself, but he may have inherited some anger problems or other troubled genes. People might go through the same situation, but everyone handles it differently, and not everyone goes through want someone else went through. Everyone on earth has their own testimony and/or own story to tell, weather they’re government officials or the poorest of the poor. Nobody can say they are who they are because of themselves. Either they are bipolar, depressed, or have some type of mental disorder, because of their inherited genes or their childhood memories. Nature vs. Nurture is pretty self-explanatory, and has some pretty interesting facts, but nobody will know why someone did what they when they did it. Unless you interrogate that person and he can express his feelings and thoughts, but neither does he know if it was genes or personal life trials. James Fallon, a neuroscientist who discovered that he had a psychopath’s brain, grew up to be the complete opposite and become a successful adult. The positive environment and the love James received, helped him know and do better.
