Nature versus Nurture can be defined in many different ways with many examples. Nature is the “genetic influence” of a person meaning someone’s hair, or eyes, and more. (56) Nurture is the “environmental influence” on a person meaning how the outside world can affects someone’s development. (56) For example, many adults struggle with alcoholism which means they always feel the need to drink alcohol. An adult suffering with alcoholism could alter how their child sees the world. Being the daughter, of a father who passed away at an early age from alcoholism, opened my eyes to see the world from a different perspective.
