The nature of crime is seriously violent in the United States. Usually crimes are caused by those that don’t follow the values and norms of their state. These values and norms change and so do the laws. Laws are created by powerful political figures that favor the upper and middle class; poor and minority groups suffer from this favoritism which increases their susceptibility to crime.

The extent of crime is also widely spread within the United Sates. Former President Nixon believed crime was the United States biggest enemy. Crime is so common that most people do not feel safe in their own homes/neighborhoods, and murder is one of the leading crime rate in the U.S. Although white collar crimes are have the most victims, they are less persecuted
