During the time that Siddhartha is having this dream, he is dreaming about this special songbird. While this songbird sung every morning. It was not singing one morning the bird was mute. Siddhartha had found it dead, lying at the bottom of its cage. Siddhartha had felt this strong but disgusting feeling in his heart and stomach. It felt as he threw this bird away with all the passion this bird had carried with him.
