A.) Nature and nurture The key information presented is that nature, the genes you are born with and nurture, the environment you are raised in, are equal contributors in determining human traits. The exception to this is the risk of bipolar disorder which is 70 percent genetics and 30 percent environmental. Meaning that on average, it is a 50/50 split between nature and nurture.

C.) Lifespan development theories Key information, this is a study concerned with age-related behaviour changes from birth to death. The focus is on personality development and the socialization process that can influence personality. This theory suggests that there are stages in life at certain ages, which present with a set of skills to be mastered before moving on to the next stage of development. The role of environment and society can impact growth to the next stage. This information could be useful in counselling when looking at a client’s personality now, their childhood environment and what might have happened during any certain stages in development

G.) Maslow’s hierarchy of needs:
Maslow’s hierarchy of needs is a series of 5 stages or levels. The first level is physiological needs such as hunger, thirst. The second level is safety such as health, housing, money. Once these two levels are met the third level is belongingness, intimate relationships or close friends become important. The fourth level is esteem, the need for recognition, confidence and achievement. The final level is self-actualization or self-fulfilment as in service to others. In this this theory the lower needs must be satisfied before higher-order needs can influence behaviour.
This be useful in understanding how clients shift their focus as they are able to get some of their needs met. Even when multiple types of needs come into play. Different kinds of support are needs as clients reach different levels.
