Technology is something our generation loves. There are thousands of apps to choose from and most likely one will find something they will enjoy and download. Technology is something fun to have, but it can also be hazardous to someone. Kids shouldn’t have a phone anyway; the young years are the playful years. Getting a phone as a child, is like saying, “I’m a big kid now and I can do big kid things”. No, a child is a child, regardless of what items they get. Technology such as, computers, tablets, mobile phones, multimedia, have types all of activities in one, and is very addictive. Many parents complain about their child being on their phone, yet they are the ones responsible for giving it to them. A suggestion would be to wait until a child is in middle school to allow them the use of a smartphone. Pre-K to 5th are the fun years. Let nature take over your child, not technology. Now I am not suggesting that we stop kids from playing games are having these tech items, but limit them. Avoid starting them out with smartphone, so by the time they get a smartphone, it won’t be as addictive as if it would be when they're older. All of our five senses are important, you always want your child to be healthy. Well technology is not so healthy. I have noticed when I am on my phone doing something for too long and they put my attention on something else, my eyes feel weird. Why is this? Staring at a screen for too long, cause eye strain. The strain on your eyes can also lead to bad headaches and everyone hates getting a headache right? Also, staring at a screen for too long, will lead to you being nearsighted. So it’s best to go outside to avoid these things. Don’t look directly at the sun though, that can mess up one’s eyesight to, but going outside is still a lovely thing to do. Now that knowing that technology can mess up one’s eyesight, this will find it better to go outside and explore. Doing this can improve physical
