ALCOHOL DRINK PROJECT Alcohol is something that you put in a drink that is only legal for you to drink if you are over the age of twenty-one. You can only drink alcohol when you are over twenty-one because in 1984, the National Minimum Drinking Act of 1984 was passed. This law told states that they needed to pass this law or they would lose up to ten percent if their highway funding. They chose the age of twenty-one because this is the age that people are believed to be fully grown. This idea dates all the way back centuries to the English. At age twenty-one, they could vote and become a knight, therefore, they were an adult. If you're an adult you can do adult things, such as drinking alcohol.You need to be fully grown to drink alcohol
