• The National Middle School Association (NMSA) describes 14 characteristics of successful schools for young adolescents. Select three that you consider the most important and explain the reasons for your selections.
Of the fourteen characteristics in which The National Middle School Association describes as a successful school for young adolescents, I consider the four cultural characteristics to be most relevant are:
• School-initiated family and community partnerships.

In gaining such relevant curriculum students will become more likely to gain sustainable employment, education, life-styles and life-skills. All relevancies to high-quality curriculum provides adolescences with direction for what he or she should know and be able to do, as well as, assist them in gaining positive attitudes about self, others, etc. and employ to better behaviors to lead a more fulfilled, productive, and satisfying …show more content…
Their knowledge and strategies must impart effective learning in order for students to be ready for the next levels of education, regardless of the assessment given. I strongly believe in order to be effective and supportive, educators must gain additional preparation inside and outside of the classroom, as well, continue professional development, cultural awareness practices and innovative technology implementation training prior to entering classroom, during and as needed to stay effective during their careers as educational leaders.
From a personal perspective and associative and organizational vision, a successful school is only effective as its leaders and the students they produce through continued community efforts, supportive applications, strategies and practices and high-quality learning.
