Today saw Coach Holgorsen and his staff sign every committed player that was expected to sign, sign with the Mountaineers.
West Virginia failed to sign a quarterback in this class which concerns some fans but don't forget that WVU has Will Grier (JR), Chris Chugunov (SO), and Cody Saunders (FR). There is youth at the position but as we have seen before you can never have enough experience at the quarterback position.

Two strengths that West Virginia walked away with in this class are defensive line and defensive backfield which should make defensive coordinator Tony Gibson a very happy man. The defensive line

Former QB/WR David Sills left the program to attend a JUCO school in California but in a surprise move made his way back to WVU and looks to have the inside track to start at WR this season with Gibson and Shorts leaving.
WVU also added Reggie Roberson and Dominique Maiden to the fold at wide receiver. Roberson has a special skill set that Holgorsen likes in his receivers but Maiden could benefit the most with his size (6'6) especially in the red zone. Again though don't forget that West Virginia will also have electrifying threat Steven Smothers, who redshirted last season.
Speaking of electrifying, Tevin Bush is just that when he has the ball in his hands. Bush can be used similar to the way that Coach Holgorsen used Tavon Austin but Bush will also be a big contributor in the special teams department. Alec Sinkerfield will bring more depth to the already loaded running back position but might have the best pass catching ability on any back on the

After Troy broke his ankle freshman he was redshirted by coach Switzer. Once his ankle had healed it was his sophomore and since Troy was not playing the coaches decided to change back to the wishbone offense so now that the team was back in the wishbone offense Troy had to work to get his starting spot back from Jamelle Holieway. Today I was told by a source close to the University of Texas that Notre Dame quarterback Transfer Malik Zaire is no longer considering Florida. Originally I had thought Malik Zaire was postponing to wait for the SEC to possibly change a rule that would allow Zaire to transfer to Florida and play right away. It now appears that Malik Zaire is looking to graduate and then he will announce where he will go. - Zaire Top Schools - Texas Longhorns Wisconsin Badgers Technically the University of Florida still has an opportunity to land Malik Zaire, either way Florida will be fine at the quarterback…

    How To Win The Superbowl

At last month's NFL draft, very few people were concerned about Super Bowl betting odds and who will win the Superbowl. Instead, the focus was put on figuring out which future NFL players would become an essential part of determining who will win the Superbowl this year and in years to come. As the movie "Draft Day" showed football fans, there's a lot of insanity going on behind the scenes when the actual draft day arrives. It was this level of insanity that might have contributed to the Dallas Cowboys missing out on the chance to draft the quarterback they so desperately need.…

What does Alfred Morris bring to the Dallas Cowboys’ backfield? Although Darren McFadden was effective carrying the load as the lead back for the Cowboys’ rushing attack last season—banking on the veteran who has a history of nagging injuries to be a healthy camper wouldn’t be a safe route for the brass to take. So to add some insurance and competition, the Cowboys signed former Redskins back Alfred Morris to a 2-year, $3.5 million deal, with incentives for the 2-time Pro Bowler to potentially earn $5.5 million. Morris was the Bell-Cow runner for the Redskins in his first three seasons before splitting the work with rookie Matt Jones last season.…

On Friday night, the New England Patriots played the Detriot Lions in a preseason game. Even though the team won the game, the biggest story coming out of that game is not good news for the team. During the first quarter, Wide Receiver Julian Edelman suffered a knee injury when running a route and he had to be carted out of the game and did not come back. Last season in 16 games, Edelman had 91 receptions, 1,106 receiving yards, and 3 touchdowns.…

Bob Cook , CONTRIBUTOR I write about youth sports. Opinions expressed by Forbes Contributors are their own. Whether the movie "Concussion" makes a bunch of money from people passionate about safety and youth sports, or people who couldn't get into the new "Star Wars" because it was sold out, then couldn't get into "Alvin and the Chipmunks: Road Chip" because it also was sold out* and figured, what the heck, we're at the theater anyway, is irrelevant regarding the issue of head injuries and football. That a major studio even green-lighted this movie, about the researcher whose work turned football concussions from cobwebs to crisis, is evidence enough that you can't talk football, particularly your child playing it, without acknowledging the concussion issue.…

Top Ten Position Needs for The Dallas Cowboys: Over the next few weeks I’ll be counting down the top ten needs by position for the Dallas Cowboys, as everyone is anxiously awaiting the off-season to fix all they saw go wrong in 2015. Many people have different ideas of how to fix this 4-12 mess, many with valid points. While I strongly support a best player available approach to the draft I’ve ranked the needs how I see them, feel free to debate. Another note, Dallas should have nine draft picks and I have ten needs; obviously they would have to address some in free agency and you should expect them to make a move or two.…

As high school graduation season approaches, many students are deciding where to go to college. Community colleges are being looked at based on what they offer, if a student is interest in sports they are most likely to pick a school based on that. Lone Star College is a community college that does not offer major sports like football, however Blinn College, which is also a community college, has a very talented football team. Lone Star College should have a football team, because it will be a major resource to students attending the college and it will give many students a chance for higher opportunity like scholarships. There are many sports played at Lone Star College like tennis, flag football and basketball, however the sports are only played at campus because Lone Star College does not play against other schools.…
