I believe that I would be a good member of the National Honor Society, for many reasons. The main reason is the fact that I am a member of the Washington City Youth Council, so I know what kind of commitment this would take and am willingly to make that commitment. I have been on the Washington City Youth Council for 2 years and am currently on the executive board. The executive board gives me more responsibility than being on the regular council and I have been able to learn much more. Being on the Washington City Youth Council has shown me I can work well with all types of people. I am able to handle stressful situations effectively and am able to share in responsibility. I am comfortable in front of crowds and am able to present information in an understandable way. I am also comfortable in small groups and one to one settings. I have learned when it is important to speak and even more so, when to listen. Being on this society is going to be a balance, and I have effectively balanced my life in the past which helps me to believe that I can continue to do so. …show more content…
I am a positive person and try to stay that way in all circumstances. I know when it is appropriate to joke around and also when it is time to focus. I have a website that I made, which focuses on my desire to be happy and to show other people who are also happy. My website is called Urawesome.net, I am trying to show people who are happy and talented and those who go unnoticed and don’t get much recognition. While I have been creating it and finding more people to be a part of it, I have realized how important each individual person is and what an impact they have on everybody’s lives around them. I hope that this can translate into the service that we will be doing for our school. Being on the National Honor Society is not just for me but for all of those that we can help along the
