The four pillars of National Honor Society intertwine to help individuals become as successful as they dream to be. These pillars: service, scholarship, character, and leadership, have equal importance and if one goes unused, may destruct the equilibrium found in using them all. The pillars of the NHS are interdependent and in utilizing them, a person can establish a great foundation. For example, good character and scholarship, two vital characteristics of a true leader, can be developed by exercising the pillar of Service. Thus far, these pillars have shaped my development and it is my desire that they continue to do so.
