The first thing to is to identify the problem and the main concern of the parent, provider the parent of what will be a review, and to educate the parent of the factors of becoming a part of NHS. I do see that the teachers did say that they have several incidents with the student but, was it tracked? Mrs. Mills stated that she’s going to an attorney in regards of this so documentation is much more suffice. After identifying the parents full concern, talk to the committee to hear about the incidents that occur with the student. The sponsor of NHS, Mrs. Scott, did notify the principal because she recognized that the student excels in the academics but not in character. After meeting with the committee and have them fully explain why the student didn’t receive member, I would follow up with the parent. …show more content…
It's important to make sure that the parent fully comprehends that there are multiple factors in becoming an NHS member. In addition, since there was a meeting with the committee and they provided specifics in the incident, I would make the parent aware. Students do act differently while in school versus being at home. In addition to this, I would collaborate with Mrs. Scott and create a criteria letter in order to be considered for the National Honor Society. This will help make aware of the factors for NHS to parents and students. It would be created to provide activities that can meet all the criteria or have an activity fair in the beginning of the school for parents and students to inquiry activities that the school or even the community can
