When I first received the National Honor Society invitation letter, my initial thoughts were of appreciation for the recognition of my hard work during this past academic year. I consider that it is an great honor to have the opportunity to apply and have chance to be considered a member of this prestigious organization. Not only it is a great honor, but it is a challenge to continue to improve both my body and my mind as I embark upon the journey of a higher education NHS. I sacrifice my personal interests in order to yield to the needs of others. With self- confidence to affect change in all aspects of my lives. Including leading some group activities in my classroom, being an officer in a club(Math & Biology Studying Club), being Class Representative in SCA, etc. In order to build my leadership skills, I had represented GSIS in the Model United Nations conference, leading the entire discussion. I trained myself to be a great leader inside and outside of GSIS through participating “Global Leaders Forum for Youth” for 6 days, receiving scholarship. What I truly envy about myself is the inborn quality of willing to be a leader of my community. This strong, passionate aim helped me in contributing to my school society as a leader next year. A month ago, I applied for Student Council Association. Staying up nights to prepare for application video, I worked incessantly to get in SCA that I wanted so eagerly. After all the hard work, I was chosen for the school SCA as a class representing member. This was all capable and possible because of neither luck nor other's help; it was all possible due to the passion I had. On the other hand, my desires for getting what I want can be my least admirable quality. When getting what I truly desire, there are times of risk. Which is the care of me. I give up what I want and harm my body harshly to attain my dream. The ambition and passion to attain my dream can be my greatest strength or weakness. But all in all, I thank for this quality and being who I
