National Honor Society Application Essay

I have decided to apply for a membership in the National Honor Society for a multitude of reasons. The program is one of the most highly recognized programs across the nation, and it would be a great honor to be a part of it. This is only one of the many reasons for application. When applying for college, being part of this highly established program, will grab the attention of colleges more so than that of a student, which does not have this program being part of their background. And lastly, the National Honor Society is also based upon the four qualities of Scholarship, Service, Leadership, and Character. Being part of the program will allow for the further development of these qualities, and also allow for these important qualities to be carried with myself for the rest of my life. The four qualities that are used for selection, I feel that I exemplify them in many different ways. Starting off with the first quality, which is scholarship. Through ninth, tenth, and eleventh grade my GPA has never fallen below, or came close to going below a ninety- three. I take great pride in my grades, and feel that school comes before a lot of other …show more content…
To start off, I show and have the qualities that are necessary to be chosen. These are qualities that I will carry with myself for the rest of my career as a student, as well as for the rest of my life. After being inducted, I will continue to have these qualities, and do my best to encourage others to have them as well. I am involved with school activities, including sports, but also am involved with multiple other activities outside of school. I am also a leader inside and outside of school. My character is also one of my greatest characteristics, as I try every day to make myself a better person. For all of these reasons, shows why I am set apart from other students, and why I should be accepted into the Nation Honor
