National Honor Society Analysis

Being considered to be in National Honor Society is a great privilege that I never thought I would be given. This organization has an incredible impact on society that I would like to be a part of. I highly believe that I can become a valuable member of this organization because I am hardworking, dedicated, and reliable, as seen with my activities that I participate in. Most of the activities I take part in revolve around music and that is because music is something I am passionate about. This is plain to see in that I was chosen to be section leader this year in band. As a leader, you must be a positive role model for those around you. One example of this is my involvement with the musical this year. Playing in the pit band was an incredible experience that I look forward to doing again next year. This experience allowed me to connect with the other members of my section as well as being able to speak with others, such as orchestra members, that I never would have had the chance to know if I had not joined pit. Another activity I started doing was the tutoring of an Oneida elementary band student. I am giving her some extra help on the trumpet with reading music, learning rhythms, and helping her gain a better technique with her playing. I also consider myself to be respectful of adults and my peers by listening to and always treating them with kindness. I am self-disciplined with not only my schoolwork and music, but with everything I do. I feel your work is a reflection of who you are so I always strive to do the best I can.
