Using the power of decision gives you the capacity to get past any excuse, to change any and every part of your life in an instant. The doors that we open and close each day decide the lives we live, and the paths we choose to follow. I graduated from Manchester Metropolitan University in 2014, I studied Marketing and Public Relations, when I left University I did always think in the back of my mind that I should look into teaching. I love spending time with my nieces and nephews, thinking of activities that we can all do as a family and helping them with their homework. I would like to have the chance to apply my creative skills towards thinking up innovative ways of combining different areas of the National Curriculum within a specific subject. I have worked at Manchester City Football Club for almost three years, during this time I have grown as a person both personally, and professionally. Whilst at the Club I have worked in two different roles, the first was Business Development Executive and I am now working with the catering partner F3 as Special Events Executive. Although I have enjoyed my job I do feel unfulfilled in my role, I believe that sitting that sitting behind a desk is not the right career path for me. I don't like being a person behind a phone call or a computer screen, I feel as though I want to be in a role where I am rewarded, where I can use my skills in the correct way. I am glad I have experienced these the type of as this reaffirms to me that teaching is a career I want to explore. When I graduated, I volunteered at Brimrod Primary School, Rochdale in order to gain invaluable experience of working in a school environment.
