National Association Of Weather Persons: Case Study

The stakeholders in this event are the National Association of Weather Persons,the speakers which are people from the United States Weather Center and other known weather celebrities, and the conference guests. The type of meeting this is is , is a conference. The event that Sally Menard is planning which is the National Association of Weather Persons and it is supposed to take place in the Caribbean a week before hurricane season begins. Even though the event is a month away, it has already been stated that the weather has been rough and the Caribbean has had not one but two tropical storms hit the area. Due to this I feel like Sally should definitely move the conference.Since the weather has already been on the rocks, it is best to be safe and move the conference because you never know what will …show more content…
There should always be a plan B when planning a big meeting because you never know what can happen and in this case it is the weather. Sally needs to find another location that she can hold the conference and she needs to let the venue know that she is moving the event to another location and if possible get a refund. Once she has a set location that the conference can take place at she needs to reach out to everyone and let them know that the event has been moved. She needs to send the National Association of Weather Persons, speakers and registered guests an email or letter that the event has been changed. The email or letter needs to include why they event is being moved( weather conditions), the new location of the conference, the new date ( if she decides to change it) and even an apology for the inconvenience. If they have an event page set up on social media she should also put the information up there as well just incase they did not receive the email or letter. Sally will have a lot of work to do with moving the event but it's better to be safe than
