As an undocumented individual, they are oppressed in society because there are areas in society that openly prohibit undocumented immigrants from legally accessing the workforce, welfare programs, medical services, and other rights, privileges, and opportunities reserved for citizens (Gleeson & Gonzalez, 2012) Therefore this policy strives for social change by opening up more opportunities in the workforce for undocumented workers. This policy represents the value of social justice by striving to ensure access to needed equality of opportunity.
