I really don’t know where I stand on the issue, when it comes to standing or kneeling for the National Anthem, but I have heard both sides and I do empathize with each argument.
In hearing both sides of the argument, it all comes down to RESPECT and FREEDOM.
One side says kneeling disrespects the flag and the men and women who have fought for this country’s rights, while the other side asks, why respect this nation’s flag, when the superior race of this country, don’t respect me?
As a mutual and understanding party to this debate, I think, oh no, I believe, it’s individual choice, or rather a freedom to stand or to kneel, and as Americans, at this point in our lives, we should respect each other’s decisions, even if it goes against our own.
