The Blithedale Romance
“The Blithedale Romance” is one of many of Nathaniel Hawthorne's grand works. It speaks the story of a group of utopians who travel out to change their failing, empty existence. They set off to live amongst the Blithedale community that was overseen by the famed Zenobia. They began with moral targets but the story ended in disaster. Careful study of the novel would display that really happened and that what Miles was saying might be two different things. Miles in his tales seem to be withholding some important facts and sugaring the reality by telling a version of his own. Zenobia unfortunately began to love Mr. Hollingsworth who, as the novel unravels, tells that he doesn’t Zenobia. The portion of the story, when Miles critiques Hollingsworth, Zenobia arises to his protection. She trusts that Hollingsworth actions come from decency and prominence of mind and not elsewhere as what Miles believes. But Zenobia's love is one-sided despite her hard work. Zenobia's character is one of being tough and frail at the same time. There is too the secretive company of Priscilla and as you get tangled into the novel you start to think of how this innocent girl falls into plot. She comes out as Zenobia's sister. Mr. Moodie, the stranger speaking with Miles at the start of the novel, is told to be Zenobia and Priscilla's father who happens to be hiding from society because of the killing she committed in the previous. Mr. Hollingsworth grows into the mark of a twist when he confides in Miles that he plans to launch a School of Reform for prisoners of the community to which Miles strongly
