“Be there, be there, be there!” Mr. Utmost screamed at his son, Nathan, who was running down the football field trying to catch the brown and pointed ball coming towards him. There was only a minute left in the game against the Gator’s notorious rivals the Crocodiles. The gators need 3 points to go into overtime. Nathan sprint like something was chasing him, slowed down, and then hugged the ball all the ways to the ground. The crowd exploded with cheers of joy while Nathan stood up and gathered with his teammates.
“Okay, everyone go right and Nathan, run deep left. I’ll fake it to the right and then sprint towards the goal, at the line of scrimmage, I’ll throw it to Nathan if I need to,” Caleb Smith, the quarterback, explained to the team. Nathan knelt down in front of the Crocodile’s number one linebacker. “Set, hut!” Caleb yelled, and Nathan started sprinting towards the end zone.

Nathan ran towards the center while watching the brown ball come gliding through the sky. Time seemed to slow down. He moved his left foot forward, and then his right. “Almost there,” he thought as he dived in for the catch. The football landed softly on his chest, and he fell down. The crowd screamed in delight. Nathan had won the game for the Gators.
At dinner, his dad kept telling the same stories about how he had been the quarterback and he saved the game every time. His mom placed some roast beef and potatoes on his dish and topped it off with a touch of salty, chicken gravy.
