Nate Barnett's Life And Jumping Habits

Nathaniel “Nate” Barnett. beloved son of the late Laverne and Nathaniel Barnett, was born on January 29, 1952 in Baltimore, Maryland. He received his education in the Baltimore City Public School System and graduated from Mervo High School, where he discovered his great talent of playing basketball. Nate, a six foot three-inch-tall ball handling guard for the Mervo Mustangs, received much attention and many accolades for his smooth basketball handling skills and his jumping and shooting talents. He led the Mustangs to the 1970 B League State Championship.

Upon graduation, Nate received numerous scholarship offers. He accepted a scholarship from the University of Akron in Ohio, where he was a starting guard for the Akron Zips. Nate
