She appears quite active, encourages informality, and takes social initiative. She expresses emotional opinions and displays action oriented behavior. As a leader in this situation, I would firstly feel lousy and disappointed in myself that I didn’t take note of group’s division and how the meeting could be more inclusive of everyone’s opinion (Chadha, 2016). However, at that point, I would also probably feel confused but yet curious as to why it was suddenly voiced out, hence thought that I should facilitate to explicit the thoughts and feelings of each member to better understand as well.…

I had attended this event in the past thought it would be interesting to compare my experiences. I was surprised to find that my first comparison would be the registration and receipt of materials needed to prepare for the event. It may have been due to familiarity with the process, but the current process seemed more coordinated. The registration process was different; it seems as though the old system had some issues as it has been changed slightly.…

For this assignment, I interviewed Felicia Low, a Program Advisor at the School of Public Health. This interview taught me a lot about myself and my interpersonal communication skills when it comes to communication on a one-on-one basis. Prior to the interview, I was a bit nervous since I did not know Mrs. Low personally and never communicated with her face-to-face. I prepared to conduct the interview in a way that it would feel like a normal conversation and not a regular interview. For example, I would not always say things from the interview questions that I prepared, I would sometimes ask a question on piece of information that she would share.…

By going through the exercises, I have reconfirmed that the form of online communication best suited to me is email versus social media such as Facebook, or texting. Unlike some people, I find texts are more difficult to respond to for many reasons, including the limitation of the touch-screen keypads, as well as the synchronicity of the communication, depending on the user’s attention to their phone. As an example, I routinely forget my cell…
