From the NASW Code of Ethics I am choosing to reflect my understanding of service and social justice (English, 2005). From my experience and knowledge, I feel that I have an overall strong understanding of these two ethical principles. Throughout my life I have understood that people need service for things to get done. Service ultimately is needed to make change and to help people no matter the situation they are in. For social justice, I understand that to make change happen we must take a stand for what we believe is right. Without this, people’s voices would not get heard and change would not occur. I would define service in my own words as doing whatever you can do to help another individual or group of individuals without getting anything
