Nasty Gal is an e-commerce boutique for women, which specialize in trendy, seasonal and rare vintage items. Nasty Gal is very popular amongst the teenager and young adult demographic. In addition, Nasty Gal debuted on eBay in 2006 (Nasty Gal, n.d.), but was progressively as time went on. Although Nasty Gal is a successful online retailer, they have recently just launched physically stores in California and Kentucky. The company received many accolades, which most of them stem from founder Sophia Amoruso being the only investor at the time when the company made $40 million in 2012 (Barret, 2012, p.6). Nasty Gal and Amoruso do a great job by building relationships with consumers and promoting their products on social media. Furthermore, Nasty Gal can conquer intended marketing goals through social community by aggressively extending their presence internationally with pertinent market research. For instance, I would love to see a Nasty Gal social media handle that caters to different languages, which I definitely foresee in the future. Nasty Gal can pursue social publishing by re-sharing consumers in their products. It would be a great marketing tactic to strengthen their brand loyalty and trust if consumers were applauded for stylishly flaunting Nasty Gal products in selfies, pictures, videos, etc. Social entertainment is definitely a sector that Nasty Gal can accomplish. A smartphone app that allows consumers to be in Amoruso’s shoes would be very entertaining. In fact, research reveals that since smartphones have become a part of daily life, it has increased game play on mobile phones tremendously; as a result, mobile phone users have a keen interest in reality games with hi-definition digital presence (Hyung-Min, 2013, p.45).
