Nashville Tigers-Personal Narrative

The Game As I approached the football field for practice I heard someone call out,
“Yo Austin.” I looked back to see one of my teammates.
“What’s up Logan?” I said.
“Ready for the big game this Sunday?”
“No not really I have been sleepless all week because of it.”
“You’ll be fine Austin just review the plays the coach taught us and you’ll do great.”
“That’s the problem I make mistakes whenever I’m nervous about games like these.”
“Don’t be foolish, I’ve seen what you can do, all you have to do is be careful.”
“I know Logan, let’s just get to practice.”
“Ok Austin lets go.”
“When we got onto the field, our coach yelled “Ok, everyone huddle up.”
“We all know the championship game is coming up.”
At that moment everyone started cheering and whooping.
“Alright, Alright settle down, we have to beat out rivals the Nashville Tigers.”
Everyone got quiet as soon as coach said that, we all knew the Nashville tigers were amongst one of the best football teams in the league. We have played

All the hope I had left in me for winning on Sunday went away in split-second. I started doing drills with my new receiver a sophomore that is about 6’4 and muscular and was really fast. I was smaller than him by like two inches but the problem was that he couldn’t catch to well and couldn’t jump as good. He was the tallest of all the receivers so I had to work with him as best as I could the rest of the week and we have gotten better in our understanding of each other. When game day came I had butterflies in my stomach and I was unhopeful for what the outcome might be. During the game we were down 27-28 and only 25 seconds on the clock and I was figuring out what to do. We were getting closer to the end zone but the defense somehow had stopped us and now we have just one chance to score or we would lose. I looked at my new receiver and asked

MORGANTOWN, W.Va.--With Senior Day on the horizon, there is no doubt in the importance of the 21 seniors in the West Virginia University locker room. Tyler Orlosky is undoubtedly one of the Mountaineers' leaders and a crucial component to this season's success. The 6-foot-5, 296-pound center is probably the loudest, mouthiest guys on the team but he is also one of the most talented and has a keen sense of the game. "Smart, just really smart," WVU head coach Dana Holgorsen said the offensive linemen Orlosky. "…

UD: Coach Sonora comes into the game scoring an average of nearly 49 points per game. What is the biggest difference between Sonora’s offense this year as opposed to years past? DC: The thing that I see differently offensively from them is they are more well-rounded than they have been in the past. There is not one, two, three guys this year.…

Baseball: the sport where you stand around for 20 minutes and move 3 feet to the left and move 3 feet to the right. It’s so intense. It’s so intense that you could take a nap on the field with everything out there. Of course, I’m being sarcastic. The only time it’s actually fun is when you’re annihilating the other team while they’re asleep on the field.…

One situation where I found myself in a fixed mindset was when I was a freshman at Mountain Pointe high school trying to make the baseball team. At the time, I had a half-hearted passion for baseball that made me want to be on the school baseball team, but I felt that everything would come natural to me because I was Dominican. I was quite proud of how Dominicans were typically great at baseball quite naturally it seemed. However, with this knowledge I became highly critical about everything I did when playing baseball at the high school camps before the baseball tryouts. I did not focus on overall improvement as I tried to ensure that every throw, batting, and pitch was perfect.…

Before I went to the World Series, I thought it was a joke, but I guess not because on Wednesday, October 26, 2016 at Progressive Field in Cleveland, OH was where the World Series was. I was more ecstatic than ever going to the World Series. When we got there, we had to choose our seats because it was standing room only(SRO). We chose our seats in foul ball territory, just about 15 feet away from the foul pole in left field. The game started and a country band named “Locash” sang the “Star Spangled Banner”, even fireworks shot up into the air making a crackling sound.…
