The growth of NASCAR is fully dependent on capturing new demographics while maintaining the current base. Therefore, creating a specialty regional race could extend the reach of NASCAR without causing damage to the existing series by making unwarned changes. The largest demographic and growing that could be capitalized by NASCAR is the Latin American market. The Hispanics population in the workforce doubled from 10.7 million to 25.4 million between 1990 and 2014. Numerous analysts predict that by 20150, Hispanics will represent nearly 30 percent of the total US population (Mora, 2015).
