The Memoir of Andrew John McRae Vukelich’s life

This is a memoir about me Jack Vukelich. I’ll be talking about a couple life experiences and how they changed my life all together or at least my outlook on life as well as the things in it. The main experience I'll talk about is the most recent when I went to a church camp in northern Minnesota.

The first experience I'm writing about is one of my most recent. So over the past summer I was able to go to tentmakers. Tent makers is a Christian northern Minnesota. Even though I was very reluctant to go at first once I got there I instantly became friends with most everyone. A large reason I didn't want to go is because it's a full week and the last full week camp I went to was scout camp

But it was completely different over all mainly because it Was Christ centred. Before I went to LQ I was very separate from what I considered to be my faith. The first thing we did when we got there Was pray over our week which I didn't think much of you just another prayer. The next day we got our schedule and our small group. We went through the day as if it were a school day. Every day we had something to do with our small group such as cleaning, painting or fixing something up before lunch. After lunch we would have study time with our small group. this was when we would read bible verses on our own and come together to discuss what we had read. During this time I found that I got the most out of unbased conversations where we would talk about different subjects and the questions u have would be answered rather than being preached at about things you already know or don't care to know. I also learned to slow down and enjoy smal things. For example they had no running water so we had to take bucket showers which were surprisingly enjoyable and but made me appreciate A nice hot shower at home and the amount of time I get. But even with all of this I must say without a dought the the most

I am so glad I had the priveledge to see the movie, War Room, with my Life Group. I have to admit, since applying Miss Clara's war room, my quality of prayer has greatly improve. I not only know who and what I am praying for, but I actual have strategic pray life that makes sense; that I can follow and easily adjust as God directs me because I can see Him in my plans more clearer. My target prayers go up on my bedroom wall. And I immediately receive scriptures from the Holy Spirit to use in my prayers.…

I am known for the "American System" and known as the "Great Compromiser," however I have accomplished and been through so much more than that. Born in 1777 in Hanover County, Virginia, I was exposed to American history since I was young. In 1797, I moved to Kentucky along with many others wanting to pursue careers in law and politics. My political career began in 1803 when I was elected to the Kentucky General Assembly then appointed to the U.S. Senate in 1806. I was Secretary of State under John Quincy Adams.…

I was able to serve with Tree of Life Ministry and others in the community. The director of Tree of Life, Linda, did a great job getting things set up and planned for us so as to make the most out of the trip. The group did a great job together and had an enjoyable time as we were able to accomplish a lot of various and needed projects.…

I interviewed an eighth grade student named Jorden Johnson, who currently attends Paul Robeson/Malcolm X Academy, located in Detroit. My reason behind choosing Jorden for this interview is simply because of the requirement to interview a student, which I am very glad he ended up being my interviewee. When I spoke to Jorden in regards to the interview, he did not sound very interested in the interview. However, I convinced him that this is simply just an interview to see what eight graders think when they are conducting problem. After, convincing him, he allowed me to interview him.…

It had been months since there had been any significant rain in Oklahoma. There was dust everywhere. On the sheets, in our food, and covering every establishment in sight. Although this had been the daily condition for a long time, nothing could have prepared me for what happened the day of Sunday, April 14, 1935. Conditions had been getting really bad in Scherville, the town I lived in.…

As a child growing up in Rhode Island, the smallest state in the Union, the idea of a vast planet brimming with civilization and culture was more like something out of a fairy tale than it was reality. So, when my father announced that we would be leaving the country to go to Scotland, the home of his and my ancestors, my world began to expand at a rapid pace. This trip could not have been timed more perfectly. The summer of 2007 marked the end of fourth grade, my first year at Saint Mary Academy Bay View.…

The day on the front was like no other, it was peaceful, dreamlike. All the airplanes had ceased fire, the tanks were no longer being operated. It was so hard to believe that all of a sudden everything had changed. My no-good rifle had malfunctioned and shot me in the leg. I was taken to a hospital next to a local train station; the hospital was dark, gloomy, and had a prominent stench of death.…

Introduction Camping Ministry has been absolutely critical to my own personal spiritual journey. My life, and my faith, would look very different if it were not for camp. This is certainly not to say that I would not be a Christian if it were not for camp, but it is definitely to say that my faith is stronger because of camp. To explain this more in depth, I need to go into my personal spiritual journey for a moment.…

“The Bible will keep you from sin, or sin will keep you from the Bible.” This quote was from a man named Dwight L. Moody, a publisher and the man who started the Moody Church. There is a place in Lawton, Michigan who helps us to go away from sin, walk away from temptations, run away from the devil, and sprint to the bible. For the past two years, I am so extremely ecstatic to say I go to Miracle Camp, a year-round retreat camp focussed on helping kids, families, and couples, to grow their unending passion for Christ. While they love having fun, they honor Christ in everything they do!…
