Personal Narrative rough draft : Car accident
It was early in April of 2016, sunny and beautiful, the day was sure to be full of excitement and energy as student council speeches are due and the final trimester of the year was slowly coming to an end. I woke up that morning to my mother blissfully waking me up with my light turning on and her sweet beautiful voice saying “Wake up, Joey,” I slowly rolled out of bed and stumbled into the shower trying hopelessly to escape the morning and the horrible sensations of waking up early on a Wednesday. As the warm water rushed over me I rehearsed in my head how I would present my student council speech to my teacher. Little did I know how different it would actually be that day. As I continued my

Pacing back and forth, I pondered how our volleyball fundraiser was going to stay afloat. The council was distraught, unable to acquire more teams, with the tournament in two days. With our advisors and the vice principal leaning towards canceling the event, my council had two choices: get eight more teams to sign up or call off the event. I didn’t want to cancel because I knew that as Junior and Senior year approached, we needed more money to fund our proms and class trips.…

Ismael Dembele Week 6 English Language Homework It was a slightly hazy, albeit sunny morning in the south of Los Angeles on that day. Meanwhile, the big story was all over the news; “Global manhunt for wanted criminal continues in Compton, Los Angeles”. On Wednesday April 27, 2016 at approximately 8:50 A.M. I arrived with another online student, Sarah Johnson, at the Allegany County Circuit Court at the address of 30 Washington Street, Cumberland MD, 21502. The judge for that morning was W. Timothy Finan. Upon entering the front door, you had to put all of your stuff in tubs that they ran through the security scanner; while they were doing that, you walked through a scanner as well. On the other side you reclaimed your items. The security officer then directed us upstairs to the second court room.…

It was a cold and chilly winter morning on November 15, 2014. I wake up to the dads black and white bearded face telling me to get ready. A few dead silent minutes later i drag myself out of bed and put on my olive drab green/camo Under Armour sweatshirt and a pair of snow camouflage pants. I then rush silently up the stairs in the low light morning and put on my dry snow boots, comfy beenie hat then grab a hunter orange coat that strangly smelled of doe urine. My dad walks up the stairs loudly with the rifle in hand and we walk out the door after getting “goodlucks” and hugs from my mom.…

I was in the 8th grade and I was failing out of my old school called Briarcrest. I just didn’t really want to do school anymore. I felt like if I did it and actually tried then I would lose my friends and be this short, lame, and nerdy kid who didn’t have any friends. I got home from school one day and it was my last day of 8th grade. My mom said “Chris, I need you to come here honey.”…

During the summer me and my friend Jasmine were driving to Burlington to set up our FFA both for the county fair. We needed a hot glue gun so we made our way to her friends house. I was in the passenger seat when a most unfortunate occurrence happened. Jasmine stopped paying attention so when we pulled next to the sidewalk in front of her friends house, she hit curb hard. Long story short she blew a hole in her father’s car and was panicking.…

Heavy Duty I tiptoed down the steps as quietly as I possibly could, trying to get a glimpse at my first adult movie. I got to the bottom of the staircase and creeped down the hallway. It’s happening, I can’t believe I’m actuall y doing this! I thought. As I peeked around the corner, I saw just what I was looking for.…

Every Thursday at 3:30pm I get into my dad's Air Force blue, 2005 Ford Explorer, and I am filled with a nausea of excitement. My anticipation cuts through the mixture of country music and old rock ‘n’ roll filling in the car. I am aware that once we park the car at 220 Geiger Road in front of Doc Bresler’s Cavity Busters, that I will be forced to overcome a new obstacle. As a child I was always intellectually curious, musically inclined, athletically challenged, and hungry.…

I lay restlessly in a bed that wasn’t mine. The soft lapping of waves outside echoed around the room. Through the window the stars shine brightly in the navy blue sky. Narrative Assignment “If something doesn’t feel right then it probably isn’t.” Those were the words I had spent my whole life following. Since intuition can be extremely powerful, it had always steered me in the right direction, at least until four years ago. It was back when the darker nights had approached, and the chilly, breezy autumn days had just arrived. My dad…

As summer came to pass underclassmen dragged there slowly yet surely feet right into the two story Texas building of Memorial high school. “Finally the beginning of the end!” I said in a voice of excitement as I happily walked into my last year of high school. Reminiscing on how I survived those dreaded past years of public speaking I realized that all my classes were a breeze and felt as if I was walking on clouds. Not a care in the living world came to mind as I walked into my final class with my fashionable clothes and dazzling new designer watch.…

I had not ever been in a car accident before in my life, so when I experienced one, I did not enjoy nearly dying. It happened four years ago, I can still vividly remember everything. I was with my sister, Nakesha, she was driving since I was not old enough to drive yet. We were having a good day and had decided to go to my dad’s for a while to see him since our parents are divorced. We spent a considerable amount of time with our dad who kept making us laugh like he always does.…
