We reached the site minutes after the fire was put out. There were five children in the building at the time of the fire. We interviewed Ponyboy, one of the saviors of the children, about what had happened during the fire. “My buddy Johnny and I were coming back from eating and we were heading to the church when Dally slammed on the brake.” said Ponyboy, “We looked at the church and saw that it was on fire. I jumped out of the car and ran toward the church. It was surrounded by a couple of adults who were looking for something.
