"The Lottery" Narrative Introduction
It was a clear and sunny day, and the air was dry. Although I was not paying attention when I walked outside, the vivid flowers still caught my eye. People of the village began to make their way to the square with haste, for time had progressed immensely. There was an abnormal feeling in the atmosphere suddenly, and I knew it was time. While I dreaded the drawing of the lottery, I see children frolicking about the town, unaware that their fate could possibly change. Although the lottery only lasted a minimal amount of hours, those are the hours that I may never be able to recoil from. Even though those who are drawn are in a great deal of danger, all I wanted was to go home and pray for those who are chosen.
