Meanwhile at the same time, ever since I could remember formatting or even organizing were always a struggle in spite of having so many ideas that I couldn’t draw out into an introduction. Consequently, when it came to the rough version of my composition, everything was scattered and incoherent because my ideas were merging with other essay prompts. Although this may be true when it came to peer reviews my partner at the time gave me some quick pointers in how to better improve my composition. For example, since in stylizing my composition in an APA format was still an issue my partner gave me proper pointers in how to cite my quotes and reference them in the paragraph. In addition my acquaintance feedbacks on my composition it was a long list of grammar, punctuation, run on sentences, and sentences that don’t make sense. Eventually my writing style in compositions improved ever so slightly after every writing

Unless I have a very strict and short deadline, my writing process begins with thinking and reading about the topic or subject matter of my paper. I don’t do a structured free writing or idea mapping session, but rather just read a bit to get familiar with the subject matter and to get my brain thinking about the subject. Once I am ready to begin writing. I start with the thesis statement is on the topic, is formatted correctly, and matches the purpose of the essay.…

After hearing my last writing assignment's result in the class, I started expecting a high scoring on my writing works. These books were my first look into writing for recreation and not just as some school assignment. These worlds created through words encouraged me to find more complex ways to describe the subjects that I wrote about instead of just using the quickest and simplest words that could express the same message. This new descriptive way of writing eventually caused me to meet many young writers. Though I was not always one for writing in my spare time I often enjoyed reading the work of other writers, especially friends and classmates. Due to the knowledge I had gained through my many hours of reading I was often asked to read and edit others work.…

I've always struggled with my writing and organizer and always been behind, but now I understand my topics and what I'm supposed to be writing. One of my greatest strengths is being able to create a story out of anything, I also took it in my hands to make sure all my questions are answered to understand what I'm writing about. Yet, there are also parts I need to improve my grammar and word choice.…

I have noticed in my different essays while examining them that I would often excel in one part of the essay, while still failing to repair other flaws. In my Modernism essay, I incorporated evidence well, but I did not add smooth transitions, making the writing seem choppy. In my synthesis essay, I made sure to polish my transitions and include plenty of evidence to support my claims, yet the essay was focused too much on the evidence and not enough on the arguments themselves and the meaning of the evidence. Nevertheless, I fixed nearly every mistake there was in my last essay, an analysis of The Visit. I used strong diction that contributed to both imagery and my defeated tone.…

Writing has never been one of my strongest skills nor my favorite. Even though I enjoy reading another person’s writing the thought of someone else reading mine just sends chills down my spine. I wouldn’t consider myself a decent writer whatsoever. This defiantly gets in the way of how I feel about writing at times, because it makes me insecure of what others are going to think after they finish reading my essay. When I signed up for ENGL 1301 I was quick to assume the course was just going to consist of reading a lot of material and taking quizzes that covered the readings.…

When I began English Composition One, I was a mediocre writer; however, this semester has unlocked my inner William Faulkner. I made a lot of careless mistakes in the form of writing, but that soon changed because my teacher really unlocked my potential and changed my confidence as a writer. I lacked organization, details, and consistency especially in my introductions. My introductions were stale and choppy, and if the subject was difficult, my introductions were vague. My writings were poor, but I have persevered and became an entirly different writer.…

Just as with any author of a book, I have my strengths and weaknesses which contribute to my style of writing, although my writing strengths imbalance the many weaknesses I feel I have as a writer. Throughout the course of this class, I learned that a good writer should write, revise, and rewrite as much as possible to generate an essay into its best shape. Through the intense brainstorming, structured outlining, and many revisions of my paper assignments, I have developed a sense of confidence about my writing. Throughout the many paper assignments throughout my lifetime, I learned to dislike comparison and contrast papers the most because I felt coerced into following a specific structure.…
