Wasted Time
The room is clear and bright from the sun 's light. I can feel the warmth on my face and smell apples. Things are going slow like i 'm slowing things down. I can see my mother cutting an apple and dancing around. Her smile illuminates from her face. I giggle and take her hands, she spins me around the room. Were going so fast I can see her chestnut hair flow in the wind. Shes so beautiful. we fall on the floor and laugh and laugh and laugh. She whispers something in my ear. “I 'm so proud of you laur-” she gently whispers.
An alarm stops the dream, I press the off button and a get up. I make my way to the bathroom and something grazes my leg, its my cat Sammi. She meows once and lays on the floor and I pet her belly.
“Good morning

“What are you doing??” He yells as I run across the street.
I pull out my iPhone and take a picture of it and I notice a signature on the bottom left hand corner i 've never seen it before but it 's beautiful. After I look at it for a couple seconds I walk back to benny. “You 're crazy, do you know that?” Confused benny says as he walks into the studio. “But it was pretty, I mean, how could you not like that? You have paintings all over your house. You can 't possibly call me crazy.” I say to him playfully.
We both go to the locker rooms and get ready for practice. I slowly lace up my dance shoes thinking about my first recital.
“-and Balancé, very good, very very good. Straighten up your leg Laura.” Mrs. Elony says as she walks over to me and stands next to me and shows me how to do it. I quickly and eagerly follow in her steps. Mrs. Elony was a tall, very pretty woman in her late 50s. She had shoulder length gray hair, and the palest blue eyes. She was very talented, and strong in teaching.
“Did you see the new auditioning sheet? I heard that we’re doing Phantom of the opera...” as the voices trail

I walk into the rehearsal room and begin. After rehearsal, I begin to walk home and I notice that the painting was being moved by a man. I walk over to him and tap his shoulder.
“Did you paint this?” I ask.
He pulls his headphones out, “hmm, oh hi yes hello.” He says startled and with a look on his face and he smiles ear to ear.
“I 'm sorry I shouldn 't have done that,” I move a piece of hair behind my ear. “Well its beautiful.” I say kinda shy now.
“Thank you, i 'm Sam.” He says as he extends his hand to shake mine.
I shake his and say “i 'm Laura.” He lets go and I realize that he had the most softest hand ever and I tell him that. “You have very soft hands Sam.”
“Its the paint and charcoal,” he says shyly and looks down at the ground. “use to much of them.”
Hes so strange and amazing all at the same time. I couldn 't help but want to see him again. I don 't know whether it’s because of the mysterious vibe he had or his hazel brown eyes. “Do you want to go and get a coffee sometime?” I say very fast and weird. He smiles and started to nod his head, and looks up. “Yeah sure I would, can I get your number?” He says as his cheeks start to get redder and

While standing behind the long, red curtains I begin to do what comes natural; lifting my head as if I am looking above and beyond the ceiling that lies above me with a smile projecting from my face, standing tall with strong energy from my toes to the tips of my fingers and pushing my shoulders back to respectfully greet my judges.
