Personal Narrative: The Aliens

After the tens of thousands of years, this war between the humans and the aliens just seems to refuse to end. Now I, as well as several others, are stuck fighting in this never-ending war several thousand light years from our home and families. We were tired and we missed home. Every day we have wondered if we would ever return home again, if we’ll even live to see the earth’s oceans or the blue sky, although we’ve heard rumours that the same Earth we have lived on before was not the same as when we had left it.
Along with a couple of other soldiers, I was assigned to scout a planet far from Earth where the environment is practically impossible for a human to sustain themself. This planet lacked the necessities that we need to survive such

I make an abrupt stop when I noticed an alien camp nearby. I ducked under a nearby tent. I watched as the aliens came and went until I came across a pile of something I could not recognize. As I inched my way closer, it soon hit me that it was a pile of dead aliens. They laid still and surrounding them were other aliens that seemed to be mourning. Next to the pile of aliens were rows of wounded aliens and doctors treating them. There were aliens with stretchers carrying more and more aliens toward the camp. Looking at this, the camp, the injured aliens and the dead, I felt a slight sense of guilt as if I was responsible for everything. I quickly blocked that thought from my head the second I remember that they were the reason everything happened. The reason why I was there on a planet, light years away from Earth. Just before I started to leave, I felt lightheaded and realized why I was there. I had to reach the spaceship and look for an oxygen tank. I looked at the meter and the oxygen tank had ran out of oxygen. The last thing I could see before me were two aliens walking towards me, then everything went …show more content…
The alien explained how the aliens once lived peacefully and once they came in contact with the humans, we slaughtered bunches of aliens, without a sense of remorse. The humans didn’t even bother making peace when the aliens offered a truce so there would be peace between the two kinds but the humans declined because they thought they were superior to the aliens. That the aliens were inferior and that what they have should become ours. I listened silently as he describe what happened. I sat in disbelief. They lied to all of us all these years and we believed them. But how can I trust an alien. But what if what he’s saying is true? I thought. I didn’t know what to think. We decided to have a truce, but that wouldn’t guarantee the same about the other humans and
