“Keep running, don’t stop!” I said to my little brother, as we ran for our life across the field. We had escaped the village before the G would capture us. The G were an organized crime group that specializes in kidnapping, assassination, and hand to hand combat; they’re widely known for kidnapping and training kids to do their dirty work. We had been running from them since we escaped their main camp, a few months ago. We were both recruited when we were little, I was about seven and my younger brother was six, Immediately after our capture we started training. We were forced to stay, for about ten years until we finally had a chance to escape. “Keep running Liam were almost far enough!” I said. “I'm running as fast as I can but these bags …show more content…
“Alright further up ahead there should be a stream we’ll rest there” I said cautiously as we walked. A few minutes later we got to the stream and started to set up camp. It was morning I was feeling really warm but I was shivering, must have been the cold air from the mountains. As long as Liam is okay, it'll be fine. “CAPTURE THEM” a ruthless voice said, it was one of the captain of G. “LIAM RUN” I yelled. He started running and I after him. Don't you trust me? Now go, we only have twenty miles before we reach the safe zone,” I said in a soothing relaxed tone. “I do trust you but I can fight too” he said stubbornly, “Liam go now, I promise I'll catch up” I said. “Fine I'll go but you can't break that promise or I'll never forgive you” he said with tears in his eyes. I simply smiled and watched him

I saw blood flying back behind him as he was running. Everything became slow motion, I was so full of fear my mind went blank. Running as fast as he could towards the gate, I could see the fear in Guide’s eyes.…

It was a rainy morning in Seattle, and I wore my Army dress uniform. Stepping off the bus, I ran 100 yards to the entrance of the Airport. After I purchased my ticket and checked my bags, I headed to the bar. It was the time of the winter equinox, and I was headed home with my discharge in my duffle bag. I suppose I should have worn my civilian clothes, but I had been stateside six months, and the comradeship I experienced in Vietnam had yet to loosen its grip on me.…

Texas is where we learned the phrase “tornado watch.” In fact, when we left Texas to finish flight school in Fort Rucker, Alabama she said she would never live in Texas again. At the time, I was too worried about dying in a helicopter crash or failing the next phase and “washing out” to give her the attention she deserved. We were newlyweds, and she forgave me-…

Johnson were ambivalent on whether or not the purpose of the war was still worth fighting for. Many Americans were outspoken on their feelings of the war either pro war which were called or anti-war which were the doves.…

The Vietnam War 1.)The statement of ,“The war can’t be won unless the people support it”, is an invalid statement. It appears so that some of the people in America have not supported any war that their military have been involved in, but does that mean that the United States have not won? When one acts upon something without support it does in fact make it harder for them and the situation entirely but do people not succeed? The support of the war helps because then the “war effort” is greater, the supplies provided for the troops is greater, and the probability of winning is in fact greater as well.…

Introduction There are many different views and opinions of the war in Vietnam. It was one of America’s longest, most controversial conflicts to date. In a war that lasted over a decade it is no surprise that lessons were learned on all parts. This paper will discuss what I feel is important lessons learned by Americans from the following arenas: diplomatic negotiations, presidential leadership, and cultural/social context. Diplomatic Negotiations For there to be success during diplomatic negotiations, there must be clear goals for all parts included.…
