Have you ever had to deal with a situation that feels like it has no solution? This is the story of my former nanny and how my Grandfather, Roger, and I got through a certain nerve-wracking situation 11 or so months later. At the time I was quite young, so there wasn’t much I could do, considering I didn’t understand more than half of the things that were taking place, but I did know that I knew my ability to feel happiness was hardly as frequent as it was before due to the fact of just how much fun in my life had declined. But it’s also never been unamusing either to say the least. I remember exactly what my nanny looked like when she was entering the house. She was quite tall, had long wavy hair that went down to her knees, dark hospitable eyes, and an uncanny smile. All of a sudden I felt very uncomfortable, but I did try to have a decent conversation with her. She said something along the lines of: “Hi Bailee. I’ll be your new nanny until your Grandmother gets better and is able to come back.” I couldn’t tell at the time, but I now know she was lying straight through her teeth, as my Grandma was at stage 2 or 3 of pancreatic cancer at the time and she knew that. “Okay.” I said back, trying to say as minimal as I …show more content…
Roger did have to switch all the back documents to his name though. After she was gone, it did feel like a huge weight on our shoulders was lifted and the sanity in the house increased substantially. It still saddens us that she had stolen things before leaving the house, took the credit card and went to the ATM and took out money until there was very little left. But it made me learn the lesson that when you know you’re not in the wrong standing your ground is important. I feel like once people start being more altruistic and there isn't this huge disparity between someone's morals and doing what will benefit them the most that it will make progress in society increase
