“Flynn catches me looking back and moves my head forward, “Don’t look back,” he says. “Don’t look back.” And with a bit of courage, I don’t.

The Last Fight

Flynn tells me to tuck the gun into my shirt, which is loose enough, that no one would see its silhouette. We walk near the hospital, which isn’t too far off. I realize that I can’t be the one to give the cure to North, so I don’t catch the illness. I’ll have to get one of the nurses to give it to her. They’re more equipped for it then I am. “You have to act like everyone else; scared and vulnerable. Also, don’t look any guards in the eyes. Got it?” “Yeah.” “Good.” We head out towards the hospital, which is on the right. Before I walk in and am able to look for my sister, Flynn grabs

“I’m so proud of you. You’ve done so well. Now go.” Flynn and I turn on our heels to go and then my mother says, “Be back for supper.” “I will,” I say. I close the door behind me. We’re almost done. It’s just about over with. I walk at a fast pace and towards the main building in the capital. Its a very big building. This is where trials are held and where the prison is. I hope that everyone who was behind this is sent there. We walk in silence, slowing our pace down occasionally when guards are near us. The night has a cool breeze. It calms me and helps me slow down my breathing. I try not to listen to the yelling and screams of terrified people or people that have just lost someone. I focus on looking ahead and keep my eyes on the capital building. When we finally reach it we walk up the cement ramp and through the doors. Inside it’s basically cleared out, with the exception of a few people finishing the day 's work. Flynn leads me towards an elevator and we step inside. Flynn presses the button we need to get to the top floor and we wait silently until we reach it. Almost done, I think to myself. I hear a small ding, and the doors open. “Do you have the gun?” Flynn asks

I could get up and leave just like I always do, and flee at the first sign of recognition. Or, I could stay, and see what becomes of this city and these people. My thoughts flash to the people I saw earlier today, and wonder what will become of them. I Saw so much more in that past session than I ever have before; usually I only see what’s happening, and almost never know their thoughts, or see flashes of their motivations. With a grin, I note that I’ve already become attached to these people, and in that moment I know that I can’t leave,…

After that my brother, sister, and I were guided to the couches that were located in the lobby, while my parents spent about twenty agonising minutes checking us in. After the long flight I just wanted to lay down and rest, but my dad thought it would be a wonderful idea to go out into the city and explore some of the many different places. Groaning and dragging my feet along with shoulders hunched forward I followed my eager parents into a place that I had never been before. The hustle and bustle of the day was all around me, and the amount of people who were walking throughout the streets and the sidewalk was astounding. About five minutes into the walk a loud noise boomed throughout the entire city chanting words in a language I had never heard before.…
