My most effective piece of writing happens to be my illustrative essay titled “The Impact of Preschool Teachers.” To get this essay started I started out with a brainstorming list of listing all the possible careers I want do once I graduate from Alexandria Technical and Community College. I picked a preschool teacher for the career. I then brainstormed a list of all the duties a preschool teacher does throughout their day. After I finished brainstorming, I looked up action verbs that went along with tasks of being a preschool teacher. By learning to use MLA style to have a better look throughout my essays, and fixing unnecessary semicolon and using commas when needed to avoid run on sentences or fragments, as well as eliminating to-be verbs for shorter more detailed sentence, and how to use work or words that aren't mine correctly to avoid plagiarism. From learning all those things, it has totally changed my way of writing because the way I used to go about my written, is not even close to how ENGL 101 changed me to being a better writer than I was before.…

Surviving English Comp 1 Writing Class Writing is one thing I hate the most. It was hard to write an essay for the first time because I did not have the knowledge or concept of this writing style. Before this class, I thought I knew what writing was all about by expressing my thoughts, ideas and feeling. I know now that I had the wrong concept on how to write. I would begin an essay by brainstorming like in project one the effective moments in my life, project two the obvious things I see in the photo, and project four the topic of my choice. I would write out everything I need for the certain essay and every idea that could be some way connected to my writing process. I would complete bullet points of my idea without putting them in complete sentences. In addition, while making bullets I think about whom am I delivering this paper to or how would my audience react to my writing and if they find it meaningful. After all ideas and details are put down onto paper; I will continue to form sentences making a response to my bullets, eventually typing my body paragraph out trying to solve that “so what…
