I wake up to a nice Saturday morning energized and ready for the day. My stomach is growling and I know that means that I am craving food. So I do what I normally do. I take a nice warm shower to help wake myself up. I go into the kitchen to discover that my mom left me an entire box of donuts for breakfast. I immediately start to eat the donuts one by one but I soon become full so I put the rest of them in the fridge for the next morning. After I`m done eating I remember that my favorite soccer team is playing so I go find a nice spot on the couch and turn on the game. The kickoff starts and we immediately score in the first minute. The game finishes and the end score was 25-0 for us. So after I finish the game I look outside and realize that it rained the night before so the air was clean and the day was cool. …show more content…
I leave the house with a small draw string bag packed with some chap stick, water, my phone, and some ear buds for music on the walk. As I was walking I see a shimmering object in a bush. Out of curiosity I go and examine the object. To my astonishment I pull out the shinning object and discover that it is a bar of solid 24 karat gold! I was so happy I sprinted all the way home to put the gold bar away somewhere safe so I could sell it. Because of my sprint home I was tired so I needed to rest so I went and put myself on the comfortable spot on the couch. Then I hear the doorbell go off. I get up off my comfortable spot on the couch and go investigate. I walk down the hallway and open the door and I almost screamed. There was a whole news crew and someone wearing a suit that told me that one random house had been picked in America to win a one billion dollar lottery jackpot. The man hands me a huge check for one billion dollars and we take a picture and I get interviewed for

My life changed the year of 2013. An unforgettable experience I had was when I left the only school I´d ever been to. All of my friends were at Conway Christian School, I didn't want to leave, but my older brother did. I left when I finished fifth grade. One of my brothers stayed at CCS (Conway Christian School) and the other, with me, went to public school.…

The excitement only builds when the concert is announced, and finalized when a white t-shirt is decorated with the last name of the cutest member written on the back like a jersey. April 11th 2014, the date circled in the Glee Calendar was fast approaching; in fact, the story starts the very afternoon before the concert. Literacy Narrative I view myself as an average writer and reader for my age. The guidance and support from others is what I believe supports my literacy the most. This consists of my parents pushing me to do my best by encouraging me to read and write better by their support and guidance through assignments and doing other forms of literacy for entertainment. I never always viewed myself as an average writer and reader for my age, I actually thought my literacy was quiet mediocre. It has been just recently that I feel I have become an average write and reader.…

Narrative Essay Response In my narrative essay, I made a couple of mistakes concerning grammar and use of vague pronouns. First, I placed a comma in front of “because;” “because” is a subordinating conjunction, meaning it joins two independent clauses in order to form a complex sentence. The sentence that I wrote contains an independent clause and a subordinating clause.…

The Test ( 7)As my Spanish teacher went around handing back our tests my heart was racing so fast I could almost hear it thump-thump...thump-thump. The room was silent, but exploding with nerves from my classmates eager to know what grade they received. At least I knew that my grade had to be better than my last test, and I could only go up from here. I just remembered the feeling of being overcome with disappointment when I received my last test and I never want to feel like that again. Since Spanish was definitely one of my more challenging classes, I had to study at least twice as much as the other kids in my class and much more frequently.…

    - The genre of this primary source is historical fiction being presented as narrative nonfiction. What I mean by this is that the work is considered by the author himself to be true and is thus presented and stylized to us in a way that is considered to be Narrative nonfiction. However, seeing as the source also delves into religious and spiritual idioms, it is also in many ways a religious writing. - The source could also be considered in the mystery genre as the entire plot of the story hinges on the discovery of who or what is stalking the woman.…

Many of my friends recall seventh grade as a relaxed break from the now typical hectic high school experience; however, whenever I think back to my time in seventh grade I get a nasty knot in my stomach. As I ponder every class, I skip over one in particular, English class. Not that I did poorly in that one class, but for most of the year I was incredibly lonely. English class was my second class of the day on my first day of school, and as I walked into my class I had a tremendous smile on my face awaiting what was ahead because I was looking forward to seeing my new teachers and classmates. As everyone sat down in their seats, I realized that I was sitting at a table with what looked like strangers and that I had absolutely nobody I knew…
