Narrative Essay Response In my narrative essay, I made a couple of mistakes concerning grammar and use of vague pronouns. First, I placed a comma in front of “because;” “because” is a subordinating conjunction, meaning it joins two independent clauses in order to form a complex sentence. The sentence that I wrote contains an independent clause and a subordinating clause. Since the subordinating clause is at the end, a comma is not needed in front of because. Additionally, I overused vague pronouns throughout my entire essay. Now, as I look back on the essay I wrote, I realize that I used pronouns such as “this, that, it” in almost every paragraph.
