Why I Want My GED. A couple months ago I found myself sitting in the counselor's office at my alternative high school. I was presented with a series of questions from the only counselor in the whole school. These questions were so simple, yet I had so much trouble trying to find an answer for them. I was asked, “what drives you to go to school?” and “why do you go to school?”. Minutes went by and I still had no answer. A year before I found myself sitting in that office, I was supposed to graduate and walk with my class of 2016, but failed.
