During the day of the Home visit, I was actually initially scared. This was due to the fact that no one in my own TD kid group gave me their reply slips. Which is why I was a bit stressed because I thought that I might have make it up for not being able to visit my student’s home. Consequently, I tried asking the TD coordinators if they have the home numbers of my kids, so I can ask if they can allow me to visit them. The coordinators then directed me to another TD student named Regine, one of my classmate’s TD kids, who knew the way to one of my TD kid’s (McRaven Hipol’s) home. This led to us going on foot to one of my kid’s house. This was new for me, since I didn’t know a thing about her, but we still managed to keep a conversation as we were on the way. I asked her what she wants to be when she grows up, if she has anything planned for a career. She responded saying that she wanted to be a nurse. I recall that she wanted to become a nurse in order to treat their parents of illnesses while still making a solid income. In our media campaign, we created a Face book page “Unity for Human Dignity”. In one of the posts in the page, there is one that relates to education as a right, and that we must value the worth of the person, even if they did not receive a proper education. This means that respect and human dignity is needed in TD, in order to put on the shoes of others and understand their own position. Preferential Option for the poor is also an important lesson that is related to TD like how Jesus stayed with the less fortunate, outcasts and sinners. By being able to focus on helping the poor, we can give them the hope that they will be able to develop, and live the life of loving each other as Jesus wanted us

Gustavo Gutierrez’s “The Option for the Poor Arises from Faith in Christ” emphasizes the dignity of the poor. This text relates to the CIT question, “What does it mean to live a life of meaning and purpose?” On page 117, it states, “Solidarity with the poor also sets forth a fundamental demand: the recognition of the full human dignity of the poor and their situation as daughters and sons of God. In fact, the conviction grows amidst the poor that, like all human beings, they have the right to take control of the reins of their lives.” This statement reminded me of quote that stood out to me during one of my Theology/Religious Studies lectures.…

They believe in equality for all and find it extremely important that dignity is held by everyone in the world. Everyday caritas treats people “the way they would want to be treated” - a theme in many of Jesus’ teaching of dignity. They live this teaching out by: • Providing access to education and workshops in regions of South-East Asia, so vulnerable people can learn new skills. • Training rural midwives in quality antenatal, delivery and postnatal care for women in rural areas. Caritas, like Jesus, believe that every human being is created in the image and likeness of God and therefore has inherent dignity.…

At times I found myself doing just that, but realizing that I needed to toughen up burst from my comfort zone. I can say sleeping through your classes never the best choice, not going just because you find it too easy, missing a class just to write a paper for another class, and differentiating between minimal and highly important status of choices.…
