Mousy the Mouse was simply not the most usual. He was always forgetting something that was important two seconds after he thought of it. Now his friend Torty the Tortoise, was always trying his hardest to keep Mousy going. Christmas was always the worst time of year for that. Mousy always got so caught up in the Christmas cheer that he always forgot everything. Torty wanted to make sure that Mousy got everybody a gift, that he usually gave to. Torty didn’t want to be rude and add his name to Mousy’s list, even though he knew that Mousy wouldn’t even think of getting Torty a gift. Mousy sprinted as fast as he could to get home. Nothing could stop Mousy. About a mile from his house, at a pond, he got stuck following ducks down the middle of the road. As time went by, he slowly and slowly got closer to his house. Mousy eventually got to his house an hour later. He was so scared that Torty would come to find him. Once Mousy got home, he went inside and was frantically searching, as everything was gone. Surprisingly, Mousy remembered that there was an unfinished wooden christmas tree in his little shop. Mousy ran outside to finish working on it to give to Torty. When he was almost done, he started sneezing randomly. Mousy all of a sudden remembered that he was allergic to this type of wood that he was working with. Mousy started expanding rapidly while still trying to finish the Christmas Tree. He was trying to get the last nail into it before leaving. As he came down to hit the nail with the hammer, he wacked his hand instead. Mousy fell over on the ground wailing, wailing,
