After Michael regained some of his composure, he told his wife to call the cops. His wife called and explained the whole situation. She explained that they were on a family trip, and were staying in the hotel across the street. She told them how they had driven all the way from Drayton, North Dakota to Las Vegas, Nevada. He discussed it with them, and they realized they had lost thousands of dollars altogether from the stolen possessions. The only thing they could do was fill out a police report. The insurance would help cover the costs of some of the stolen items, but the family had to pay for quite a bit. The parents began working on the police report.
Despite the young age of the girls, they were very mature. It did, however, take a while for them to understand that they no longer had some of their favorite belongings. The girls were sad, but they were alright. They agreed that the thief was cruel to take so many of the possessions they loved most. The girls learned that some people are very selfish and do not care for others.
After a short time, a woman walked up to the family. She asked if everything was alright and if they needed any help. This woman was the first person that showed compassion for the family that was in need. Even though there were not others with her, in their minds, she represented a large group of good people. While many did not care, this woman did, and they believed there were plenty of other people out in the world like her. The family was so grateful to know that someone was willing to reach out to
