That magic ticket was the one thing that was going to get me to the best night of my life. It was going to make a wish a reality. It was the thing that was going to get me out of class and get me to a Cardinals game.

This is not just a regular Cardinals game this is a playoff game. The National League Championship Series. I knew we were going to game six so I had to cheer for the Dodgers when we got up two games to nothing. I knew that if the Dodgers did not when two games there was no way we were going. I remember seeing on Sports Center the night before on the headlines Dodgers force game six! That means we are going! If we win we go to the World Series if we lose we have to play the Dodgers

They were in the nosebleed section. After the national anthem Joe Kelly and a Dodgers player had a standoff. Joe Kelly would have one but the umpire told them to go back in the dugouts. After that it was game time! Wacha threw the first pitch and it was still nice outside. It was pretty cool but it was in mid October. In about the sixth inning it started misting and we knew it was getting ready to rain and it was going to be cold! By the seventh inning it was raining and the rain was ice cold. At least where we were sitting we were not getting too wet because we had a cover on our head. By this time the Cardinals were up by a bunch and we knew we were going to win. Matheney was pitching all of good bullpen guys and Rosenthal came in shut the door! That is it the Cardinals win and are heading to the World Series the announcer screamed! There were big parties all over the streets outside of the ballpark and people were already selling t shirts that had the Cardinals winning the Championship Series. The game was good but the experience was forever and I will never forget this Cardinal

Louis Cardinals, but sadly it wasn’t a very good start because we had lost the first two games in Kansas City but won only one of the two games played in St. Louis . So we are down 3-1 in the series again, The Royals had to play with all the fight they had left in them. But the Royals late inning heroics continued against the Angles. Mike Moustakes won game 1 with the first extra-inning homerun in club history, an 11th inning homerun gave the Royals a win with the final score being 3 to 2 in game 1. So I start to feel a little better now, but still not safe. So going into game 2 still playing in Los Angeles, Eric Hosmer followed with an 11th inning homerun himself giving them a win with a score of 4 to 1. Also by giving the Royals a 2-0 lead in the series going back to Kansas City.…

Breaking The Curse From it’s origination in 1901, the Boston Red Sox has always been one of the most iconic professional baseball teams, even winning the inaugural 1903 World Series (then as the Boston Americans). This fame would only grow in 1914 when they came across a strong left-handed pitcher with an even stronger bat known as George Herman “Babe” Ruth (Britannica 2014). With Ruth, the Red Sox won 515 games and lost 359. They also won 3 World Series in the 6 years in which Ruth played with them (mlb.com).…

The Texas Rangers (2-1) fall to the Toronto Blue Jays (1-2) by a final score of 5-1 in Arlington Texas. The Rangers bats were silenced for most of the night, and the Blue Jays looked like a team that didn’t want their season to end tonight. Martin Perez (0-1 7.20 ERA) took the loss for the Rangers, while Marco Estrada (1-0 1.42 ERA) got the win for the visiting Blue Jays. Martin Perez got off to a magnificent start for the Rangers, retiring the first six hitters that he faced. During that very special baseball game I was beasting at shortstop. Every time a ball was hit my way I would either catch it or scoop it up off the ground depending on what type of hit it was but if the ball came my way my fans already knew what was going to happen. My fans already knew that I was going to get the batter out or get a double play and most of the time I did. It felt so great knowing that I helped my team achieve excellence and earn victories. My team had a very strong and unstoppable defense and if it wasn't for our teamwork, we wouldn't have had such a successful season.…
