It took a good forty-five minutes but once there we all climbed out me rubbing tan lotion on of course while the adults got cash since credit cards were not accepted there. Canoeing was the first and only thing I wanted to do to start off so I hooked on a life jacket for me and then my son and was all ready to go. We head an uneven number though so I had to choose whether or not to canoe since they said it is difficult for one person to paddle with a baby. I took my chances and hopped in with my son. After being pushed out of the dock area I started to paddle as if I was a pro and turns out I am pretty good at it and starting paddling away as my son sat giggling and screaming with joy. It was a tad scary because I didn’t want him to fall in but he behaved pretty darn well if I do say so myself. I paddled for an hour and a half until my arms got sore so I had switched my son for my mom. Being out in the country my mom had no signal most of the time but she found signal in the middle of the lake and decided to have me sit there while she posted on Facebook. I was nervous more than anything of flipping over and trying to get back with a boat but I was still excited. The same guy that helped us into the canoes helped me into the kayak, I slowly tried to inch in but as soon as I set one foot in I lost balance and fell in! I swam up out of the water embarrassed with seaweed sticking out of my shorts laughing as everyone else laughed too. My mom asked the guy if that happens a lot and just my luck he say nope, I am the first one this summer to do it. After that I crawled in and got off to a good start, but if you’ve ever been kayaking you would know it’s a bit trickier to balance and paddle too. I did my best though and enjoyed it to end my
