I woke up on a Friday morning at 5:30 A.M. to the sound of my alarm clock and so did about 75 others. Today was the big day we got to go to Peoria for the combined Geneva North and South choir concert. We had to wear our nice blue outfits with our black dress pants.
Eventually they loaded the buses at 6:50 and everyone had mixed emotions. The choir was excited and happy, yet we were tired and nervous. A lot of people slept for some of the ride but not my friends and I, we were watching movies and rocking out to music. Sadly, we couldn’t sing because we needed to save our voices (half of us were partially sick anyway). After our first rest-stop we were all pumped up and awake. Then we got back on the bus and started playing games and chatted about how we thought it would be like. Finally we arrived at the building that looked awesome on the outside, but our warm-up room seamed sketchy. Our group went on the risers and stood their in front of about 250 people. Most of these people were parents, relatives, or mainly Choir teachers from around the state. Once our choir teachers told us this it seamed a little bit scarier. Us boys, in the back were blasting music everyone knows so we sang along. The bus stopped at the rest-stop and we all got some food and it was delicious. One problem, Matt Ellis had to use the bathroom really bad, but Mr. Hibbler wanted us to leave. He ended up trying to get Matt out by yelling. It was hilarious! Once we were on the bus we played on our iPhones and played games that we all could play. We also facetimed a few people that went home with family not on the bus. We were so happy and we felt so accomplished, until South's bus kept breaking down. We needed to stop almost every 30 minutes to check them. If that wasn’t bad enough, when we got back to school my sister was late to pick me up, so I had to stand around in the cold waiting for
