Temple lost a tough one against Notre Dame Saturday night at Lincoln Financial Field, but the sixty plus thousand who were in attendance or the 5 million watching at home across the nation will be sure to remind the people who didn't see this David vs Goliath match-up that it was one for the ages.

The tailgate ranged from kids who were 4 years old to teenagers and young adults and all the way to people aged 80. Roaming from tailgate to tailgate, everything stayed pretty mild mannered. I didn't witness any fights, but more so friendly banter back and fourth between the college students of Temple University to the old farts at Notre Dame.
There was plenty of alcohol to go around, and some tailgates even had a DJ booth set up. The tailgate I partook in was especially lit, seeing as how a sea of red was flooded with alcohol and drunken' shenanigans. Anyway, I'll get to the main point.
Game time was awesome. Waiting for the opening kickoff sent shivers down everyone's spine. The build up was enormous. The stadium was split 60/40. 60 percent Temple, 40 percent Notre Dame. I managed to lose my voice by halftime. Temple was tugging at m heart strings the entire game, but in a glorified way. It was awesome.
Unfortunately, Temple would end up losing the game. Even though they lost, it made Temple stronger. We showed that we are a tough school and not just a fluke. We played a lot better than everyone expected, beat the spread, and to us, it was still a win. Never have I've been more proud to call myself a Temple Owl. The city stays
