Middle School Bully It was a normal day in middle school except that I was in a new school and I already seemed to have a bully. My twin, Diane, and I were the typical new students that were shy and didn’t really talk. We had our differences, Diane was a girly girl always dressing in girly clothes and wearing jewelry and a different headband, which was a thing that every girl was wearing back then. I, on the other hand, wore boyish shirts that were loose and oversized on me with little to no jewelry and my hair down in a mess. One day while Diane and I were walking to our next class, which we had all classes together except one, we noticed a girl would always stare at us while with her friends and they would be laughing. Until one day she started bullying me because I didn’t dress girly enough, she would make bad remarks about my body and because I was bilingual. I remember as if it was yesterday that she started calling me names. She would call me ugly and a boy just because of what I wore. I didn’t dress like any of the other girls at my …show more content…
When I got their I asked to speak to her and told her I was being bullied. As I finished letting the principal know what was happening she called in the bully to the office. Once the girl got there we were put in the same room together. When we were in the room together I asked her why she was doing this to me, at first she said that she didn’t need a reason to. So the principal had me leave the room so that she may speak to the girl alone. About ten minutes passed by and then the principal called me back in. The girl finally said why she bullied me. She said that because she grew up only knowing how a girl is supposed to act and that she only spoke English. We had finally talked it out and she stopped bullying me. Little did I know once I entered high school would she bully me again. That’s a story for another time

Mrs. Winn’s kindergarten class was probably one of my favorite elementary classes because I had my best guy friend, Cameron, in the class, and it was obviously an easy class for me. I remember whenever we colored anything or did any drawings, my teacher would always compliment my coloring abilities because I knew how to color within the lines; all the other kids had scribbles outside of the lines and their drawings would not be as neat as mine. Cameron and another boy named Jordy were my favorite people in the class and the three of us would always hang out together and play outside during recess. Jordy was my favorite until he snitched on me and told the teacher I did something I did not do. He eventually died out of my life because I did…

It was the end of third grade and all of my friends and I were talking about who we wanted as a teacher the next year. Everyone wanted Mrs. Graham or Mrs. Friend because they were considered the “nicer” teachers. I was the kid who always got upset when I saw that the teachers were yelling or mad at someone. My mom had told me that she didn’t request any certain teacher for me to have so it was going to be a surprise the next year when I found out.…

For me, it was not as serious as it could have been, unlike others who have experienced more physical or harsher verbal abuse by the bully. Fortunately, I was able to conquer my fears of going out and became more outgoing and did not let anything hold me back, whether I was playing sports or at work or just out with friends. Life is too short to be in constant fear or worry. When I got to high school I thought things were going to get worse, but because I was able to overcome, I achieved many of the goals that I strove to reach for like: getting high-honors all four years, winning two-state titles as a three-year starter in baseball, and making memories with friends that accepted me for who I am. In the end I do not regret anything and I believe that with the right support from family and friends anyone can learn to ignore the hate and strive to achieve anything they set their mind…

Bullying is a matter that no one should take lightly especially in areas it occurs the most like in schools. While many of these institutions have applied policies against bullying, there are still many instances documented where a student has suffered mental, emotional, or physical abuse by the hands of another student. Many of the children that partake in this particular behavior have no idea what kind of consequences their actions will have or either do not care. It is the education system’s job to teach and show students that bullying can be detrimental to someone’s life and that they will have no tolerance towards the issue. Schools should take a stricter approach to occurrences involving bullying and have the punishments clearly outlined…
